Plockmatic 4000 System - Modular Folding and Inserting System

A cost effective modular direct mail inserting solution for most mail applications.

Active marketing entails communication and getting your message across to your target group. The direct mail market is steadily growing and is today the most preferred communication method according to recent studies when spams and callblock lists limit internet and telemarketing.

Direct mail equipment, combined with the benefits of digital print engines able to personalize each mailing item, offers an extremely cost effective way of getting your message across.  The Plockmatic 4000 System is a modular concept offering maximum flexibility to meet most direct mail demands. The master in the system is the Plockmatic DMI 4000 Inserter, able to fill up to 12 mm of inserts and handles envelope sizes from C4 down to DL type. It also has a unique capability of handling both long edge and short edge flap envelopes.

The Plockmatic MF 4000 is the feeder module. Again, the modular concept allows you to add The Plockmatic TF 4000, a 6 bin tower feeder and the Plockmatic BF 4000 booklet feeder module. This combination allows you to feed single sheet documents as well as a booklet of up to 8 mm thick into the envelopes.

MF 4000 Mailfeeder
The MF 4000 is the basic unit in the feeder module. With the option to integrate up to 2 different modules there is always the possibility to build the system to match your mailing needs. Choose any combination of the TF 4000 Towerfeeder and the BF 4000 Bookletfeeder.

The Plockmatic 4000 System offers flexible and easily operated feeder options. They give you a broad variety of mailing combinations and handle brochures, catalogues, leaflets, single sheet documents and reply envelopes. All this fed into a wide range of standard envelopes.

TF 4000 and BF 4000 modules
With the fully upgraded version of the mail feeder including the tower feeder and the booklet feeder you get the best feeding flexibility of the system.  Set up the Mail Feeder in collator mode or in feeder mode or you can set it up with the 2 different modes combined in the same application.  With the tower feeder and the booklet feeder you can handle a mixture of flats and booklets in the same application.  Prepared to run a job, the booklet feeder is filled up with 8 mm thick catalogues and the tower with 4 leaflets, a sales letter plus a reply envelope. All fed in the sequence you desire. In cascade mode, all trays, including the booklet feeder, can be loaded on the run.

TF 4000 Towerfeeder
A 6 bin feeder/collator for feeding of single sheet documents from 60 up to 200 gsm. Various feeding options – collator or feeder mode, cascade or not. High capacity feed trays with 28 mm filling capacity. Double sheet and miss sheet detection. Automatic tray lift for easy handling and facilitating load on the run in feeder mode.

BF 4000 Bookletfeeder
The booklet feeder module can feed from single sheets up to 8 mm thick booklets. Filling capacity is an impressive 150 mm. Bottom feed ensures continuous loading.  Extremely easy to set up the document separation – place the document under the separators, release the separators and lock them. Ready to go.

DMI 4000 Inserter
The system’s heart – the inserter with flexibility to handle most envelope sizes available. Whether they are long flap or short flap, large sized to accommodate flats or down to smaller DL type envelopes the DMI 4000 can do it.  Inserting speed of up to 3,600 per hour and built to handle volumes of up to 250,000 inserts monthly.  With the intuitive user interface you control the complete system. Optional touch screen user inteface available.

MFF 4000 Multifunction folder
The MFF 4000 is a robust multifunction folder able to do half, C and Z folds of single or multi page documents.  The MFF 4000 is equipped with an accumulator and alignment station before folding for accurate folding of multiplied sheets.

With the fully automated multifunction folder you can easily mix folded material with non folded material like thick booklets into the same envelope. The three fold pockets give you a versatile folder that accommodates the address carrier to be printed either face up or face down.

Envelope feeder
The envelope feeder can accommodate and feed from the large sized envelopes for flats insertion regardless if they are long or short flap and down to DL sizes. For detailed information, see the systems envelope specification. Holds up to 150 mm. Bottom feed ensures continuous loading. Extremely easy to set up the envelope separation – place the envelope under the separators, release the separators and lock them.

BST 4000 Beltstacker
A high capacity stacker capable of stacking all the various inserting jobs the system can process. Stacks up to 2,500 envelopes. Can be positioned inline, left or right angled. Adjustable sensor for setting the envelope separation for easy unloading.

Touch screen user interface
With the optional intuitive touch screen user interface you control the complete system. Settings are graphically visualized to faciliate set up and adjustments. An illuminated LCD display with easy to understand menus is standard.  No need to run around and set the individual modules. Servomotors adjust the system automatically to set it up for the programmed job. Memory for storage of frequent jobs.

Manual feeding
For smaller jobs or where you already have pre-sorted documents, the option is still there to feed your material by hand onto the document deck. This also opens up the possibility to include odd sized material or giveaways into your mailing.
