Rena sells only new unused cartridges, they are not refilled.

What is “Coated Stock"?
Coated Stock is paper or card stock that has been treated by the paper manufacturer.  The material is glossy or matte finished in most applications and comes to the printer that way.  It is designed to give marketing materials a professional finished look and increase durability with out the need for post print varnish.  This is the most common form of 'glossy' or 'coated' stocks.  We have developed Rena EasyInk OriginalTM to answer the demand for ink that can print on this popular stock.

What is the chemical makeup of Rena EasyInk OriginalTM?
It is a dye-based ink with a water delivery system and anti-clogging properties.

Is the shelf life of Rena EasyInk OriginalTM comparable to Versatile Black?
The shelf is comparable to Versatile Black, which means they can be inventoried.

Does Rena EasyInk OriginalTM require a dryer?
In Short, no.  For many stocks, EasyInk OriginalTM will dry fast enough to run without a dryer.  For more productivity or more challenging stocks, use our TB-699, TB-499 or TB-399 conveyor/drying units.

Does Rena EasyInk OriginalTM perform better that Versatile Black for users who don’t currently have a dryer?
Yes.  If a user does not have a dryer, Rena EasyInk OriginalTM will dry faster and on a wider variety of materials in most cases.

How does Rena EasyInk OriginalTM print compared to Versatile Black in terms of print quality?
Rena EasyInk OriginalTM has excellent print density. It has a dark black color.

Does Rena EasyInk OriginalTM clog at the same rate as Versatile Black?
Rena EasyInk OriginalTM has significantly better capping characteristics than Versatile Black.  It has been tested to go uncapped or stored for up to one week without reducing the available number of print nozzles.  We of course always advise any ink cartridge to be capped when not in use and a “purge” to be printed on the first piece for the best results.

How does Rena EasyInk OriginalTM print on regular paper or what the industry calls porous paper, or paper that soaks ink?
Rena EasyInk OriginalTM prints very well on porous material.

What other popular varnishes does Rena EasyInk OriginalTM dry on that Versatile Black does not?
EasyInk OriginalTM can print on certain varnished stocks with a  paper are used in the industry; both are examples where Rena EasyInk AqueousTM would dry better that Versatile Black.

What stocks would you not recommend Rena EasyInk OriginalTM for?
Most Flood Aqueous & Gravure over coated material, Plastics, Film & UV coatings have finishes that prevent the Rena EasyInk OriginalTM from adhering on the surface.
